Randy Powell in the WILD

Randy Powell started out as Tim’s Therapist and they’ve become long friends and share a zeal for life and a passion for ministry. Randy is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is the Founder and Executive Director at Journeys Counseling Ministry. He began the counseling center at Vanguard University, started a ministry called "Hands Across the Border" at Vanguard and was the first full-time pastor for Vanguard. He has been a singles' pastor, family pastor, and pioneered a new church. He earned his Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Cal State Fullerton University and Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Vanguard University. Randy is a licensed minister and a regular speaker at churches and conferences. Randy has been a radio guest on a number of radio shows, podcasts, and has been interviewed on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).

Brant Hansen in the WILD

Brant Hansen is an author, nationally syndicated radio host, and advocate for healing children through  CURE International.
He’s been featured on ABC’s “Good Morning America” in addition to regular appearances on Focus on the Family and Family Life Today, among many others. He’s written for CNN.com, The Washington Post, and U.S. News and World Report on a wide range of topics, and his work has been highlighted in The Irish Times.
Brant has won national “personality of the year” awards for his work on his offbeat and quirky radio show, which airs on more than 200 stations. His podcast with his friend and radio producer, Sherri Lynn (“The Brant and Sherri Oddcast”) has been downloaded more than 17 million times.
He leverages his radio platform to advance the healing work of CURE, which provides life-changing surgeries for children with treatable conditions.
His first book, Unoffendable, has prompted a national discussion on the idea of forgiveness, and our culture’s embrace of self-righteous anger.
His second book, both provocative and very personal, is Blessed are the Misfits: Great News for Those Who Are Introverts, Spiritual Strugglers, or Just Feel Like They’re Missing Something. In this book, Hansen addresses his own, and many others’,  inability to “feel God’s presence”, and how God might Himself feel about that.

He’s been a game inventor, fronted a modern rock band, and still dabbles in singing and songwriting.

Mark Batterson in the WILD

Mark Batterson serves as lead pastor of National Community Church in Washington, DC, one church with multiple locations. NCC also owns and operates Ebenezers Coffeehouse, The Miracle Theatre, the DC Dream Center, and Capital Turnaround as gathering places for the community and funding for Kingdom causes. Mark serves as lead visionary for The Dream Collective, which equips and supports dreamers who long for revival in the church, reformation in the kingdom, and renaissance in culture.
 
Mark holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Regent University and is the author of 24 books including the New York Times bestselling The Circle Maker as well as In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day, Wild Goose Chase, Double Blessing, Whisper, and, most recently, Win the Day and Do it for a Day. Mark is married to Lora and they live on Capitol Hill. They have three children: Parker, Summer (married to Austin), and Josiah.
 
Mark Batterson was the first donor with seed gift to Maverick River Collective in early 2023. He believed in Tim and the mission of MRC before it even began. Mark prayed and commissioned Tim and Korrie and the mission of Maverick River Collective in front of his church  in Washington DC on 2/23/23 which helped ignite the ministry of MRC.

Mayor Will In the WILD

Mayor Will is the current Mayor of beautiful Newport Beach. In 2020, Will became the youngest person to be Mayor of Newport Beach in at least the past 50 years. While Mayor in 2020, Will fought to reopen Newport Beach's world-famous beaches after the Governor shut them, helped oversee Newport Beach's successful response to COVID, and kept a steady focus on helping small businesses. 
Mayor Will was Chairman of the City’s Finance Committee for six years and also served as Chairman of the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency (and Finance Committee Chairman for both TCAs) at a time when the TCAs reduced their debt by $1.275 billion.
Mayor Will is also a Stanford-educated attorney.  But more importantly, he is a man of God devoted to his family, church, and community. Thanks to his grounding in faith, he is big supporter of the mission of Maverick River.

Nick Foles In the WILD

Nick Foles, a former professional football player, is a devoted husband and father to three children. His Christian faith is central to his life. With a strong father figure of his own and years of fatherhood now under his belt, Nick has continued to understand the importance of the father figure in a child’s life. His everyday efforts to be the best he can for his own children has inspired him to launch and develop the DAD SZN brand alongside Pat O’Donnell. 
Nick Foles started at quarterback for the University of Arizona before joining the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles in 2012. He made the Pro Bowl following a record-setting 2013 season, but was traded to St. Louis after a disappointing, injury-marred 2014. Returning to Philly as a backup before the start of 2017, Foles was pressed into starting duty late in the year, and went on to be named MVP of the Eagles' Super Bowl LII win over the New England Patriots.Nick enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, training, playing Pickleball, improving his golf skills, and spending time with his wife, Tori. He hopes that DAD SZN will help cultivate strong fathers.

Fernando Arroyo in the WILD

FERNANDO ARROYO served courageous in the US Army and considers himself privileged to serve those who served our country, with a new goal of ending veteran suicide. He works as the Veterans Program Director at Step Forward Academy as a coach and mentor for veterans transitioning to civilian life. He helps them develop a career path to a living wage and connects them to a healthy community. “When I returned home from my latest deployment in the U.S. my life began to fall apart .One night, after heavy drinking, I placed my 1911 pistol in my mouth and thought a prayer—silence. Fernando's story will move and inspire you to pray for and look for every opportunity to help our nation’s veterans. Fernando authored the book, “ The Shadow of Death,” which shared his story in detail. He is one of the Men of Mariners and calls Mariners Tustin his home church; he now speaks at Men’s Ministry events across America.

Bruce Nelson in the WILD

Bruce Nelson is a man of God and fearless hero of faith. Early in his career Bruce was very successful in Real Estate and enjoying all his financial success with radical toys like boats, bikes, motorcycles and traveling all over the world in search of thrilling adventures. While in Israel he heard God speak and called him to leave his career and become a pastor. Bruce was obedient and stepped out in faith and became the first Men’s Pastor at Mariners Church 25 years ago. He served faithfully in that role for 15 years.Just last year Bruce was diagnosed with cancer and he shares so inspirationally how God has used his painful cancer journey to minister and steward his illness for the Glory of God.
